Snow-in(g) Mind

It’s snowing.

While I should really be working, I watch thick flakes drift past the window.

My mind, and what lives inside it, feels a bit like snow.

My thoughts can swirl chaotically, dance through the air, blur my view, float down elegantly and cover everything in white.

Always temporary. Not definitive.

Just a thin layer for a while, one that melts again or lifts with the next gust, settles differently each time.

Maybe clarity doesn’t always have to be sharp.

Maybe this drifting isn’t chaos, but reflection that hasn’t chosen a shape yet.

Maybe confusion is simply a stream of thoughts that isn’t ready to land.

Some ideas only want to hover for a moment. And once they touch the ground, they melt away again.

Snow invites you not to keep it.

An ideal way to approach thoughts as well.

You don’t have to hold on to them.

They don’t ask to stay, not even to be believed.

You can simply let them fly, let them land, let them melt.

There is something comforting in knowing that what drifts now does not decide what remains.

And that beneath all the movement, something still is always waiting.

But… now I’ll stop thinking and actually get back to work.

Really 😉
