Since learning more about energy, I genuinely believe you attract what you radiate.
At the same time, I struggle with this. Because let me be honest: there was quite a bit of misery on my earlier path. So in what way was I the magnet for that? I think I’ve always lived with the intention of being a good person, bringing positivity, and living love. So what was I radiating that attracted this to me.
Understanding Karma Differently
Gradually, I’m starting to understand it better. I link it to the Buddhist approach to karma—not as a cosmic accounting department keeping track of who deserves punishment or reward, but as a subtle interplay of cause and effect.
Every action, every word, every thought plants a seed that will one day sprout. Sometimes in this life, sometimes later. It’s not about deserving or paying off, but about patterns we set in motion—and that we can also break.
Over-analysis is rarely useful in this. On the contrary, it was one of my lesser patterns. But let me say I sometimes forgot to weed between what should never have sprouted in the first place. Among other things.
Fortunately, there were also good patterns.

When Life Gets Dark, Turn On a Light Switch
I carry a shadow side within me. When life strikes, I sometimes end up in a dark storm that I can’t easily escape.
But—cheers for inner polarities—I’m also good at finding illumination, even in pure darkness. A beautiful song, a fluttering butterfly, a friendly glance, a warm word, a streak of sun on my face, my hands in full soil…small big moments where I seek and find joy.
And perhaps that’s simply the essence of energy: what you illuminate within yourself causes the world around you to reflect differently.
Not because your thoughts magically attract something to you, but because your inner attitude colors the lens through which you look, feel, choose, and act—and life begins to move along with it. Sometimes so subtly that it only becomes visible in hindsight.
The Power of Conscious Energy
What I’ve learned especially in recent years is to consciously attune my energy to that small moment.
Amid that small happiness, dream big.Amid chaos, consciously find peace.Amid adversity, actively dream away into prosperity.Amid weakness, build solid strength.
A subtle difference, but the impact is gigantic.
Not everything immediately becomes better on the outside, but it truly makes life so much better. At first subtly…but gradually, like a ball rolling down a mountain, the outside increasingly follows my inside.
Flip Your Own Switch
So don’t wait for the world—or whoever you meet in it—to change, but go inward and flip your own switch.
In other words: “Don’t wait for light, become it.”
